With its bright yellows and lonely blues, overreaching shadows and whitewashed light, chain link and open air, the waterfront on 52nd St in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, presented a tucked-away experience where the relationship between freedom/barrier grew increasingly blurred, confronting visitors with a conflicting sense of both safe haven and dead end.
